The Missouri Live Steamers (MOLS) is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the art, history, and technology of steam railroading through the construction and operation of large-scale live steam model railroads. Founded in 1968, the club focuses on hands-on education, historical appreciation, and community engagement—providing the public with opportunities to experience steam railroad operations and learn about steam technology in an interactive setting. Now based at Grant Station Park in Union, Missouri, MOLS continues its long tradition of building and maintaining 1/8-scale railroads entirely through member effort and public donations, reflecting both its deep heritage and its commitment to community enrichment.
